WHAT IS AN NVQ?
NATIONAL VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
NVQs are work based qualifications which recognise the skills and knowledge a person requires to carry out their roles.
Candidates need to demonstrate that they have the suitable skills, knowledge and understanding to carry out the tasks associated with their job role.
NVQs cover a wide range of subjects for almost every occupational area in every business sector.
What are the benefits of undertaking a construction-related NVQ with AACSS?

How are NVQ’s assessed?
NVQ’s are competency based and the candidate produces evidence of what they do in their work situation which becomes the basis of a portfolio that is assessed against the relevant occupational standard. The candidates must demonstrate that their skills are current and prove their competency over a period of time.
Evidence can be submitted electronically any time of day or night from anywhere in the world.
You cannot fail an NVQ. You are either classed as competent, or not yet competent; which means you would need to provide additional or further evidence over a period of time.

Occupational NVQs for CSCS/NPORS/CPCS CARDS
Managers and Directors?
The Level 6 and Level 7 NVQ Diplomas are for managers and directors working within the construction and allied industry sectors. We offer full support and guidance throughout to ensure you can complete your qualification efficiently, going on to claim your five year CSCS Manager Card, renewable by undertaking a CSCS Managers and Professionals Health and Safety Touchscreen Test.
Undertaking Supervisor duties?
The Level 3 and Level 4 NVQs are for supervisors working within the construction and allied industry sectors. We offer full support and guidance throughout to ensure you can complete your qualification efficiently, going on to claim your five year CSCS Supervisor Card, renewable by undertaking the applicable CSCS Health and Safety Touchscreen Test.
Undertaking a skilled trade?
Level 2 NVQs are for skilled professionals such as construction workers and trades professionals working within the construction and allied industry sectors. We offer full support and guidance throughout to ensure you can complete your qualification efficiently, going on to claim your five year CSCS Skilled Worker Card, renewable by undertaking the applicable CSCS Health and Safety Touchscreen Test.
Construction labourer on site?
The CSCS Labourer Card is for labourers working within the construction and allied industry sectors. We offer full support and guidance throughout the one day health & safety course and by arranging your CSCS Operative touchscreen test to ensure you can gain your card efficiently, renewable by undertaking a further one day health & safety course and the applicable CSCS Health and Safety Touchscreen Test.
NPORS have affiliation with CSCS meaning on various courses you can achieve the CSCS hologram logo on your card which is required under many contractors and organisations site induction and works requirements.
